NLCS special education services strive to ensure all students receive the highest quality education that meets their individual academic, social, emotional, and functional needs. Our main goals are to provide our eligible students with their Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) through the identification of and comprehensive services to students who meet eligibility categories outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Indiana’s Special Education Rules (Article 7) and ensure that our students receive their education within the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
